About This Site
Welcome to my Project 1 website. The goal of this site is to demonstrate core web development skills by building a small, multi-page website with consistent structure and navigation. Visitors can expect to find clear page headers, readable paragraphs, and working links that make it easy to move between pages. While the theme focuses on highlights from Italy—Rome, Florence, and Venice—the real emphasis is on solid, accessible HTML and a clean layout. Each page presents descriptive text so the content stands on its own, and the design keeps things simple to showcase structure over flair. The navigation menu at the top appears on every page so you never feel lost while browsing the site.
Throughout the site, you’ll see best practices we’ve covered in class: semantic headings, a single external CSS file for styling, descriptive alternative text for images, and links that are both meaningful and easy to use. The homepage introduces the purpose of the site and explains what you’ll find on the other pages. Rome highlights ancient history and lively neighborhoods; Florence focuses on art, food, and river views; Venice explores canals, islands, and evening walks. Use the navigation above to explore, and feel free to contact me if you have questions or feedback about the project.
